Katara Rosby is the new Baton Rouge Magnet High School track coach. When she moved back to Louisiana she ran into her old track coach and volunteered to be a track coach at BRHS eight hours a week with no pay.
At one point she had to stop volunteering for personal reasons. A couple of years later the opportunity for her to became the full-time track coach opened up and she took it.

Rosby ran track all four years while attending BRHS. She participated in indoor, outdoor and cross country. Indoor track meets start in January, but they have had cross country meets. Many people don’t know that there is a cross country team, but Rosby plans on changing that by next fall.
Rosby would like to see the girls win a state title, and she wants each girl to reach maximum potential.

“I think that when you do the best that you can and you have a good environment where you can flourish it’s a really good feeling, if you win or not.

“When you know that you did your best and you are in the best physical shape you can be in, put in the time and get out there and do your best, you have a really good time.

Robsy really wants the girls to give it give it their all. She plan on getting them physically and mentally prepared for the track meets and cross country meets.
