Baton Rouge High’s open house took place on October 26. BRHS welcomed over 1500 prospective parents and students. Prospective students and parents gathered in the auditorium for an assembly. In the assembly, speeches were given by faculty members, and there were performances by the performing arts department. Parker Navarre, a St. Luke’s student, said she was set on St. Joseph’s Academy, but after seeing the performing arts BRHS had to offer, Navarre is reconsidering furthering her choice. Another prospective student, Alissa Booker, is set on going to BRHS because of “all the fun events and opportunities.” Open House also consisted of many club exposition booths, including booths from Ballroom and Key Club. Prospective students and their parents were amazed by the student-led tours, saying that the docents did a wonderful job.
